Who processes your data
Maza Enterprise Holdings LLC / Letnova operates this service on behalf of the hotel. The hotel receives a licence to use it, not ownership of the software.
What we collect
Your ratings of the hotel — up to twelve, five of which you may leave as “no opinion” — whether you would recommend it, your free-text comment, and your name, room number and check-in date. All three are required: without the room we cannot come and fix the problem, without the name Reception cannot check that the room number is right, and the check-in date is what tells one stay from the next in the same room.
Why we may do it
Everything above is processed under legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): it is what allows the hotel to reach you and correct the problem while you are still here. The check-in date serves the same interest — together with the room number it identifies your stay, which keeps the same room from being reviewed twice and limits the complimentary drink to one per stay.
Automated translation
Your comment is sent once to OpenAI (model gpt-4.1) to translate it into English and rate its urgency, so a comment written in any language reaches the duty manager understandable and prioritised. OpenAI does not use API data for training. The alert sent to staff contains your room number, never your name.
How long we keep it
The ratings and comment are kept to track service quality over time. After 12 months your name, room number and check-in date are permanently erased and the feedback becomes anonymous.
What we will never do
We will not reward you for posting a public review on Google, TripAdvisor or anywhere else — the drink is for telling the hotel directly. And we will not decide who gets asked for a public review based on what you told us: if such a link is ever shown, every guest sees it, whatever their rating.
Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data. Anonymous feedback cannot be linked back to you, so we may be unable to act on it. Ask at Reception, or complain to the Malta Information and Data Protection Commissioner (idpc.org.mt).
